The 9084D MK2 monoblock amplifiers have gotten a new face lift. With 300B tubes in the driver stage, and in conjunction with the 845 power valves, these monoblocks from Cayin drive with a high single-ended output of 28 watt (Class A) per channel.
Each mono block uses hand-matched TUNG-SOL 6SL7 and 6SN7GTB tubes which after lengthy testing proved to be the absolute best musically.
Paired together with the SC-6LS MK2 (see here), these tube monoblock amplifiers creates sound imaging that is both organic and clean but have immense drive and control, reproducing dynamic realism of your musical input, whether is CD, vinyl, or MP3’s.
Externally accessible controls and display via the integrated meter allow the user to easily adjust the optimum operating bias point of the 845 tubes, making tube rolling is an absolute breeze!
Cayin developed two different transformers : A toroidal transformer, which has a high inductance and low resistance allowing for incredibly high efficiency in the power supply.
The EI transformer of the output transformer uses a special, multi-layer winding process to achieve particularly balanced and realistic sound – this design has proved to be the heart and soul of the Cayin sound.
